Receive HSO Honors in Excellence
Every year Honors Student Organization hosts an award ceremony called the Honors Awards. A celebration that gives recognition to students with a certificate for HSO Honors in Excellence. It is based on a point system, where students will earn points by coming to our various in-campus events and community service opportunities. Once they reach a certain level with those points, they will receive the award.
Point System
For you to receive the HSO Student of The Year Certificate you must participate in our various events to gain points. Here is the information of how to gain points, and the different award categories. Every time you reach a certain level you also earn prices!
Level 1
Every student who is part of HSO will start at this level
Level 2
(150 points required)

Level 3
(300 points requierd)
- Merchandise (T-Shirt)

HSO Student of The Year Certificate
The Student of the Year Certificate can be given to multiple students, not just a single individual. We believe any student who shows the values of what it means to be an honor student deserves the awards.
Professor of The Year
Nominate your favorite teacher and show them your appreciation. This trophy will be given by a professor that has been nominated by 10 or more students.
Honorary Staff of The Year
We also show our appreciation to all the staff members in Dallas College for the dedication they have for the students. Any faculty staff that has been nominated by 5 or more students receives this award
